    Book Talk Tea is a fabulous, fun-filled event held each February. This year's event will be a "Beach Blanket Book Talk".   Just like the beach can energize our souls, this event brings together friends/colleagues who love books and sharing books with children.  Hosts and hostesses decorate a thematic table based on a children’s book, share a little about why the book was chosen and some ideas for educators to use with presenting it to children and teens.  Lovely baskets filled with books are given away in a prize drawing. Refreshments will include fruit smoothies and a tropical dessert.
    Our literacy grants are awarded each year at this event, as well as other awards to recognize people and organizations who have contributed significantly to KRA through their volunteer efforts.
