Author Possibilities for Young Authors' Fair 2012

Mara Price is an award-winning author and illustrator of children's books. Marsha Diane Arnold
returns once again to Kern County from the redwoods in northern California! She loves to spend time with her family, practice yoga, and travel. Mary Ann Fraser
last visited YAF in 2008. Her picture books about I.Q. have a gentle humor that resonates with children of all ages. She has over 60 fiction and nonfiction books to her credit. Myron Uhlberg loves the students in Kern County! His background as the hearing child to deaf parents reflects some of the same challenges that students with parents who have English as a second language encounter. Paul Janeczko visited with two high schools during Young Authors' Fair in 2011 in Kern County. This year he is available to younger students. He is known for his lyrical poetry that sometimes transforms into concrete forms! "The story of my life...so far" thus begins the biography of Paul Janeczko on his website. Sneed Collard III  is the author of the award-winning books Science Warriors-The Battle Against Invasive Species. His fifty-third or fifty-fourth book (who's counting?), The World Famous Miles City Bucking Horse Sale, was released in the Fall, 2010. Tim Egan loves to travel and considers California to be his favorite state. He is the author of the Dodsworth series. The latest title is Dodsworth in Rome. He is both a writer and illustrator.
