Join KRA for a workshop on writing techniques in helping students with their writing skills. This workshop will help you prepare your students for writing books and preparing for the upcoming Young Authors’ Fair. Along with writing ideas, the workshop will provide you with ways to creatively put together your students’ books. Please join us for an exciting afternoon of learning together!

Meet the Presenters:
Rebecca Langston-George
Rebecca Langston-George is the author of 16 books for children. She was a 2016 recipient of the California Reading Association’s Armin Schulz award for children’s writing in social justice.
A recently retired Bakersfield teacher, Rebecca is the Regional advisor for the local area for the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI). You can read more about her on her website at www.rebeccalangston-george.com.
Sandra Yoon
Sandra Yoon is a retired Kern County Librarian and was the District Librarian for the Bakersfield City School District. She has been a board member of the California Reading Association and been a presenter at several CRA conferences. She has also served on the committee for the California Young Reader Medal.
