Greetings!
I hope everyone is doing well. It looks as if we are finally up and running after these past two years of COVID. We have plans for ending this school year with our fabulous KRA Book Talk Tea, scheduled for Wednesday, April 27, 2022, from 4:30-6:00 p.m. This will take place at the KCSOS Larry E. Reider Education Center, Room 204. The cost is only $7.50 a person or $52.50 for a table of eight (8). If you are interested in hosting a table, please contact Teresa Twisselman, tetwiss@gmail.com or (661) 809-4100, and fill out the online registration form. Our Book Talk Tea is an exciting time in which each host/hostess selects a book to share, decorates a table with that book theme in mind, and gives a short talk about the book. There will also be refreshments and a chance to draw for prizes. In addition, the afternoon will include an oral presentation by students from one of our local schools, and Russo’s Books will again be present to sell the highlighted books.
Looking to the future, we are planning to have a professional development in the fall and our annual Book Talk Tea again. We are also planning some type of event that centers around an author. If you have any questions or suggestions, please provide us with your input.
We hope you will join us for this year’s Book Talk Tea and help us celebrate literacy.
Best Regards,
Brenda Russell
